THE MANAGER

NAOMI JENKINS

Naomi holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts (Drama + Dance) / Bachelor of Education from the University of New South Wales. She has been nurturing the talents of young people in the performing arts for almost three decades. With a fluent understanding of acting & script for theatre, film & television, she remains highly engaged in the development of the actors she represents. Producing short films annually with Young Actors Assembly has seen her work with many of Sydney’s leading teen actors & film school graduates. Naomi’s commitment to submitting only the highest quality talent for casting has led her actors to secure significant roles across Feature Films, TVCs, Stage Productions, Podcasts & Television Series.

TINY TALENT

3-4yrs

Our tiniest talent are super content with the world. They are both curious and confident and enjoy being around new people & places.  Their parents are highly organised & are privy to the demands of being on set, often having worked in modelling or acting themselves.

KIDS

5-12yrs

Our Kids are handpicked for their curiosity, charm and colourful imaginations. We are committed to building a roster that celebrates diversity – where no two clients are alike.

TEENS

13-17yrs

Our teens are seriously dedicated to the craft of acting. Each of them are training and developing their acting muscles consistently to make our job easier. We only accept those who are willing and brave. Those who are ready to take their career to a whole new level.

YOUNG ADULTS

18-25yrs

We represent young adult actors & performers who are formally training in their craft. If not formally training, they will have had 2 years+ professional experience working in theatre, film or television. We pride ourselves on our disciplined and educated clients who understand the necessary skills it takes to thrive in this incredible business.

FAMILIES

18-25yrs

Our families come in all shapes and sizes. Great grandparents, grandparents, parents, siblings, multiples, aunts, uncles & cousins… there are no limits on the combinations that make up a YDTM family.

THE TALENT

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

Sydney, Australia. Our main headquarters relocated (post-pandemic) from Surry Hills to Sutherland. We continue to hold regular photo sessions and workshops though out of our previous Surry Hills location.

DO YOU CHARGE FEES?

No. YDTM do not charge any joining fees. There are costs associated with setting up at least two online casting portals (e.g. Casting Networks, Altai, Showcast) but these fees are paid directly to these platforms by our clients. We do also encourage all clients to invest in industry training and development opportunities, to nurture and enlighten their approach to the work.

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER WITH CASTING PLATFORMS?

Yes. Casting Networks, Showcast, Altai & Casting App are all powerful tools which allow you to load and manage your showreels, add specific credits and store your audition media for self-tests and castings. These portals are used by agents to represent their clients and suggest talent for roles. Each client is individually advised on which platform/s are best suited to their needs.

CAN I USE MY OWN PHOTOGRAPHER?

We would prefer you didn’t. We believe in consistency and have a preferred headshot photographer who provides us with our brand based headshots at an excellent price.

WHAT COMMISSION DO YOU CHARGE?

Our clients are presented with an entertainment industry Managerial Agreement, prepared in conjunction with our entertainment lawyers. YDTM charges a flat rate of 15% on all work procured.

DO YOU ACCEPT ANY TALENT THAT AUDITION FOR YOU?

No. YDTM represents skilled young actors & performers who are working on their craft consistently within the realm of film, theatre, television & musical theatre. Due to the volume of applications we receive, only suitable actors will progress to interview. We encourage all applicants to reference the NSW Agents List via the Media Entertainment Arts Alliance website for other registered agents.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF WE ARE LEGITIMATE?

This is a valid question. Our purpose is to offer transparent managerial services completely aligned with the rules and regulations of the Entertainment Industry Act 2013. If you google search Naomi’s name you will read that she has been working within the education and entertainment industries for most of her life. Naomi also holds a valid working with children check and is proudly affiliated with the Media Entertainment Arts Alliance.

**In NSW there are specific laws to protect the safety and wellbeing of children under the age of 15 years who are employed as actors and performers. The NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian is responsible for authorising employers of children in these industries and for monitoring their compliance with the Code of Practice and legislation.
